Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The Financial Analyst’s Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Ensure timely and accurate availability of financial information for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements and regulatory reports.
- Responsible for supporting planning and forecasting cycles including annual plans, quarterly forecast, periodic reviews and updates.
- Work with corporate department heads and provide financial and operational guidance through ad-hoc reporting requests and financial models.
- Assists in the preparation of financial reports to the Board of Directors
- Monitor/report ongoing business performance against budgets/forecasts to understand and identify reasons for variances to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial planning.
- Analyze the performance of bank business units and products by reviewing financial information by department.

Working Conditions

- This position is performed in a regular office work environment. Must be able to work independently. The incumbent will be expected to be able to work Monday through Friday and work will by performed at the Maitland, Florida location hybrid.

Qualifications Summary

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred or degree in other finance-related area with equivalent experience.

Experience:

- Minimum of 2-5 years of financial analysis experience required; Bank or Credit Union experience is preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Must be highly organized with excellent time management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; advanced Excel skills are preferred.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint, various accounting and accounts payable packages.
- Balance Sheet and Income Statement preparation and analysis.
- Financial Modeling (budgeting and forecasting).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Possess and exhibit an exemplary level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Maintain a strong focus on continuous process improvement.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside of the finance division.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex financial statements.
- Knowledge of CSI, Anaplan, Plansmith, and Banktel is desirable.
