Overview

The Key Account Manager is a sales and marketing driven role responsible for supporting business development and assisting with the long-term strategic relationships with key partners throughout Australia. These partnerships ensure the Otter Products name is the recognised brand in the consumer electronics industry and is associated with high quality and real innovation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively supporting the growing awareness and penetration of Otter Products into targeted accounts and channels (predominately Enterprise/Corporate). They will also work to increase Otter Product's profile and maximize all profit opportunities within these accounts, ensuring achievement of agreed targets. They will be focused on driving results through executing opportunities throughout the region.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong positive can-do attitude with a hands-on mentality, be self-motivated, dynamic and highly driven.

This position is open to Junior Key Account Manager candidates or Key Account Manager candidates, depending on the candidates level of experience. The position can be located in Sydney or Melbourne.

Responsibilities

- Support the execution of strategic plans to develop partnerships with key channel partners and enterprise customers (predominately carrier-specific B2B/Enterprise opportunities) throughout Australia
- Assist with building sales pipelines, prospect for and qualify new leads and identify new opportunities in existing channels
- Support the relationship with corporate resellers through our partner channels to drive even more independent enterprise business for OtterBox
- Work with the Australian Team to actively prospect for new business directly from OEM partner channels, carrier partner channels, ISV partners and distribution partner channels
- Present Otter Products solution to a wide array of sales channels including distribution, enterprise and small business teams
- Support the long-term complex sales cycles and navigating large procurement organizations and processes within Australia
- Assist the management of sell in, sell out and new product introduction throughout enterprise and distribution channels
- Collaborate with channel partners to exchange selling strategies and marketing information
- Work with select channel partners (including distribution partners) to maintain efficient stock levels, track shipment and meet end reseller requirements
- Travel to trade show appearances and other events to meet with customers and partners throughout Australia
- Team up with Channel Marketing to support the production of successful sales campaigns within Australia
- Maintain detailed customer records, manage and track leads, sales, KPI's and metrics
- Ensure that all clients receive the highest possible customer service

Qualifications

- B2B sales experience within the Consumer Electronics space, ideally within the mobile phone industry
- Minimum 1+ years' experience of hands-on enterprise sales experience, development, and experience in a high growth/ small team environment within Australia is required
- Knowledge of various distributors/reseller channels within the consumer electronics or mobile phone industry is preferred
- Strong track record of exceeding challenging sales targets while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction
- Understand how large organizations work, how to get things done through formal channels and informal networking
- Knowledge of new business development using a robust sales process
- Able to clearly and concisely communicate in a variety of communication settings and styles
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to change
- Strong positive can-do attitude
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Fluent written and oral English
- Full clean driving license
- Based in Australia, preferably Sydney or Melbourne
- Willingness to travel – up to 60% of the role
