The Role
The Key Account Manager role is responsible for achieving sales targets for the specified territory in line with the company sales budget. The role requires you to spend most of your time visiting customers in Southern NSW and the surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining strong long-term relationships with key stakeholders in veterinary clinics as well as local veterinary wholesalers.
- Developing and implementing targeted account plans for key veterinary customers.
- Ongoing analysis of sales performance metrics and identification of new sales and growth opportunities.
- Developing plans to manage your territory and key accounts in an effective way that supports the achievement of sales targets while maintaining a customer-first approach.
- Plan and execute sales cycle activities based on targeted customer segmentation to maximize results.
- Be the face of Troy and the ilium brand, ensuring a positive and professional image for both the company and the products.
Ideal candidate:
- 5 years veterinary pharmaceutical sales experience.
- 5 years of B2B sales / key account management experience.
- Strong background in client relationship management, especially with large/key customers.
- Able to manage time and workload independently while actively contributing as a supportive team member.
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Passion for delivering outstanding results for both customers and the company.
- Effective communicator with strong written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with animal health products and veterinary clinics.
- Tertiary qualifications in animal science, business or other relevant disciplines.
- Your own vehicle and a current driver's license are a must.
