About this Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Data Analytics Manager, as the Integration API Developer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of integration solutions that connect multiple systems and databases.

This hands-on role involves designing, building and maintaining data pipelines, APIs workflows across cloud and on-prem platforms. You will collaborate with architects, analysts and business stakeholders to enable business workflows, reports for operational decision making and meeting contractual requirements and regulatory compliance.

Specifically, you will:

- Collaborate with management and business stakeholders to understand reporting and KPI requirements to design integration solutions that ensure accurate, timely and reliable data is available.
- Design, build and maintain integration solutions that support workflows, reporting, dashboard and analysis.
- Deliver the data used for integration-driven planning and forecasting tools to support operational decisions and activity-based performance evaluations.
- Develop, document, and maintain REST, GraphQL, JSON, FHIR and event-based APIs to support real-time and batch integration between systems.
- Support the design, build, and optimise ETL/ELT and event-driven pipelines using Oracle GoldenGate, Autonomous Database, Snowflake, DBT Cloud, and other tools.
- Protect sensitive and personal data through compliance with classification, privacy, and security standards.
- Support vendor relationship management relating to the acquisition and integration of external data sources.

About You

You are:

- An outstanding communicator who can build strong respectful relationships and articulate and convey technical information clearly and effectively with diverse teams
- A highly organised individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks and prioritise work under guidance
- An effective problem solver, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Reliable, discrete and professional when it comes to handling confidential or sensitive information

To be considered for the role you require:

- Strong knowledge of API development principles and minimum 3 years’ experience using relevant programming languages in Java, SQL, .NET and PL/SQL.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the use of software engineering tools (GIT/Bitbucket (version control), Postman (API testing), OCI/Azure/AWS Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes (Containerization) and JIRA (task tracking)).
- Sound working knowledge of software engineering processes and methodologies, including Agile and full SDLC.

Your application would be enhanced by a tertiary qualification in computer science or a related field.
