About the role

The Developer will play a key role in building and supporting a suite of products within the Learning Insights project. These projects include a significant teaching system that integrates engagement data from the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).

Working under limited direction and with a high degree of autonomy, the Developer will deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions that support academic and administrative functions. This role demands strong technical expertise in enterprise-grade platforms and a commitment to continuous improvement and mentoring.

Key Skills & Experience

- Significant demonstrated experience with web development using the .Net framework.
- Strong proficiency in relational data modelling and SQL, particularly within Oracle environments.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data transformation and migration tasks.
- Demonstrated experience analysing existing application processes and designing and implementing improvements
- Demonstrated experience developing using Object Oriented design, Service Oriented Architecture and API design is highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience with integrating systems through APIs is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationship and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with effective cross functional team relationships to develop and deliver effective business solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.

Key Qualifications

Graduate degree with at least 3 years subsequent relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education/training

Desirable Skills, Experience or Qualifications

- Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with JavaScript and frontend development.
- Experience with identity management technologies such as SAML, OAuth and SCIM.
