About the Company
SA Water is a successful, modern water utility wholly owned by the Government of South Australia. We employ more than 1,700 people across a broad range of disciplines who operate more than $14 billion worth of infrastructure to deliver essential water and sewerage services to more than 1.8 million South Australians.
We operate in a geographically and climatically diverse service area, with sites and locations from Ceduna through to Port Augusta, the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, across to the Riverland, down to Mount Gambier, and most places in between.
Our strength and expertise have been shaped by our history. For more than 165 years, South Australians have depended on us to innovate and deliver efficient and sustainable water services. With nationally and internationally recognised industry expertise, we’re focused on understanding and meeting our customers’ expectations.
As well as safely delivering smart and reliable services for our customers of today, we innovate to shape the water solutions of the future that will support thriving economies and healthy communities.
We are driven by our values; we value our people, we do work that matters, we keep it real, we know that our work has impact and we are future focussed. Staying true to our values ensures that we consistently deliver positive outcomes for all South Australians.
About the job
As Enterprise Architect – Integration & Application Platforms, you will set the strategic direction and target-state roadmaps that enable enterprise-wide process integration and advance key platform capabilities. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will work across business and technology functions, leading conversations that translate complex ideas into clear architecture direction.
You will guide and govern solution architects, ensuring alignment with the enterprise standards and architectural principles that you help define, while also contributing to key programs, procurement decisions, and architecture governance forums. This role offers the scope to influence long-term technology strategy and drive alignment across multiple integration and platform domains that underpin SA Water’s digital transformation.
About the Person

They have experience working in a large client-side organisation, are confident developing future-state models, logical diagrams, principles and roadmaps as well as conducting architecture reviews and influencing stakeholders through well-structured documentation, compelling visuals, and clear communication. With a collaborative, coaching style, they collaborate with other Enterprise and Domain Architects and support solution architects and teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes while staying attuned to emerging trends and technologies that can drive innovation and value. Exposure to Oracle ERP/Integration and Microsoft Azure would be seen as a bonus.
About Technology
The Technology group is constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology and is driven by its collaborative inclusive culture. This team of diverse professionals is dedicated to transforming digital landscapes, ensuring seamless operations, delivering cutting-edge solutions and utilising data for optimised decision making. With a focus on the future and a commitment to excellence now, the group thrives on solving complex challenges, driving efficiency, and enhancing user experiences.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
- Shape and maintain the strategic architecture guidance (reference architectures, patterns) and principles for integration and key platforms.
- Develop future-state roadmaps.
- Provide governance and guidance to solution architects, ensuring consistency across designs.
- Review documents, lead discussions, and create clear diagrams and models to support decision-making.
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to translate strategy into practical outcomes.
- Monitor trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Contribute to program delivery architecture activities, procurement activities, and architectural governance forums.
- Contribute to the governance and effective use of key platforms including MuleSoft, BizTalk, Oracle Integration & ERP.
Your success in this role will come from:

- Experience in developing and presenting strategic domain/technology guidance to a variety of (business and technical) stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, business or computer science and/or equivalent knowledge gained through a similar role and excellent written communication skills.
- Relevant professional certification or equivalent (e.g. TOGAF).
