National HR Manager
Overview
A career-defining HR leadership role in a place where you can breathe. This is your chance to shape the future of a major Australian manufacturer not from a head office boardroom, but from the ground floor, where things get made, moved, and done.
Company Background
Our client is a national leader in the design, manufacture and service of premium mobile equipment with a customer-first approach, a strong national footprint, and deep roots in Bundaberg. They’re a major employer in the region and a trusted partner to industries across the country.
With over 400 employees nationwide and more than 200 based at their operational HQ in Bundaberg, the business has built a strong foundation for people, culture and safety. Your job is to take it further.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen performance, safety, and engagement across all levels
- Build and embed scalable people systems that support real-world operations
- Coach and mentor leaders through day-to-day and strategic workforce challenges
- Shape a proactive HR function that’s seen as a genuine enabler of growth
- Tackle industrial workforce dynamics with confidence, clarity and commercial nous
This is not a policy-writing role. It’s a high-visibility, high-impact position for someone who thrives in operational environments, builds trust quickly, and wants their work to matter.
About you
You’ve operated at a senior level, but you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You know how to influence leaders, navigate tough conversations, and deliver real outcomes not just reports.
Qualifications
- Senior HR leadership experience in manufacturing, engineering, logistics or a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of ER/IR, enterprise agreements and operational workforce strategy
- The confidence to work closely with an MD and executive team — and the humility to engage meaningfully with frontline teams
- A proactive mindset and proven ability to embed cultural change
- A desire to live in Bundaberg (relocation assistance available) and be genuinely embedded in the business
Why Bundaberg?
Because not all career-defining roles have to come with the grind of a capital city.
Bundaberg Lifestyle
- A national leadership role with real scope and visibility
- A laid-back, coastal lifestyle with affordable living and strong community
- Time to do meaningful work and enjoy your life outside of it
This is a role for someone who wants both: career impact and personal balance.
What’s on offer
- A pivotal, MD-level reporting role with national scope
- An established and growing business that values HR as a key enabler
- A Bundaberg-based opportunity with relocation assistance
- A legacy-building challenge in a market-leading industrial business
