Your opportunity:

The Insights Lead plays a critical role in unlocking actionable insights to drive revenue growth across TPG Telecom’s multi-brand portfolio. This position exists to inform and influence strategic marketing decisions through robust data analysis, brand health tracking, customer segmentation, and market research. The role operates at the intersection of marketing, strategy, and commercial performance, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver compelling insights that enhance business outcomes.

This position supports a fast-paced, evolving telco environment where data-driven decisions are vital to remain competitive. The role holder will use a range of research tools and datasets, including Roy Morgan Asteroid, brand tracking, customer feedback platforms, and internal performance data, to provide insights that inform strategic direction and optimise marketing efforts.

You'll make impact by:

- Delivering clear, actionable insights that support brand growth and commercial performance across TPG Telecom’s portfolio
- Managing and optimising brand health tracking tools and methodologies, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives
- Leading quantitative and qualitative research initiatives in partnership with external agencies to uncover consumer, market, and category trends
- Interpreting and synthesising data from diverse sources including Roy Morgan Asteroid, internal sales and performance dashboards, and customer analytics platforms
- Influencing and challenging internal stakeholders with data-backed recommendations to drive better decision-making across marketing and product teams
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed insights into marketing strategy, campaign planning, and brand positioning
- Ensuring agency partners deliver high-quality, timely research outputs aligned with business goals
- Contributing to forecasting, customer segmentation, and proposition development through strategic use of data and research
- Driving a culture of insight-led decision-making across the broader Marketing function
- Maintaining strong governance over data usage and upholding confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy of all insights and information systems
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve the insights function, driving efficiencies and better outcomes for the business
- Staying current with trends in research methodologies and telco consumer behaviour to continually evolve the function

What you’ll bring:

- Minimum 6–8 years’ experience in a similar insights or market research role, ideally within Telco, FMCG, or agency environments
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Psychology or a related discipline
- Proven ability to turn complex data into clear, persuasive stories that influence senior stakeholders
- Strong experience working with brand health tracking tools, Roy Morgan Asteroid, customer segmentation, and internal sales performance data
- Demonstrated experience in commissioning and managing market research projects through external agencies
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across a wide range of functions
- Strong critical thinking, commercial acumen, and problem-solving capabilities
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapting to business needs
- An understanding of marketing strategy, campaign planning, and customer journey mapping
