Our client is a reputed Japanese company. They are currently seeking an Accounting Staff to join their North Sydney office team.
**About the role**:
This role will be responsible for overall accounting/financial and management accounting tasks and collaborating with the head office's accounting department in Japan as well as overseas business units.
- Prepare financial statements and coordinate with the Japanese head office's accounting department and local accounting firms.
- Maintain close communication with relevant departments in the Japanese head office and report on local issues and situations.
- Drive improvements in accounting processes.
- Oversee local cash management, conduct cash flow checks, and verify forecasts for fund requirements.
- Evaluate budget and mid-term plans for financial accounting and coordinate with relevant departments.
- Translate various documents from English to Japanese.
- Join the meeting as an interpreter.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks related to the department, including recruitment activities.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Over 2 years of experience in accounting/finance at a business company.
- Experience in translating and interpreting.
- Certificate in Bookkeeping or equivalent.
- Experience in preparing financial statements (collaboration with accounting firms or the head office).
- Ability to perform financial analysis.
- Experience in report generation.
- Native-level Japanese and Business level English
- Management experience is an advantage.
- The US CPA qualification is an advantage.
