Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Remote Staff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work from home and enjoy a great work-life balance.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming debtor payments, debt collecting, customer follow-ups, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will also prepare monthly collection reports and weekly AR aging reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incoming Debtor Payment Allocation: Ensure timely allocation of payments to the correct accounts
  • Debt Collecting/Chasing: Effectively communicate with customers to collect outstanding debts
  • Customer Statement Preparation & Issuance: Generate and distribute monthly and weekly statements to customers
  • AR Reconciliation: Maintain accurate financial records by reconciling accounts
  • Preparation of Monthly Collection Report: Analyze and report on collections data
  • Preparation of Weekly AR Aging Report: Track and report on aged receivables
  • Credit Limit Maintenance/Monitoring: Monitor and maintain customer credit limits
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Finance or Economics (or related field)
  • Proven working experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
