Australian Tax Accountant Position

We are seeking a skilled Australian Tax Accountant to join our team at Remote Staff. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting tax returns accurately and timely to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Tax Lodgment: Assist in preparing and submitting tax returns accurately and timely to the ATO, claim applicable deductions and credits to optimize tax outcomes, possess expertise in Fringe Benefits Tax, Division 7A, and property investment tax.
- Financial Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, compile and analyze financial data to provide insights into financial performance, conduct financial audits and reviews as necessary.
- Tax Returns Preparation: Finalize tax returns for individuals and businesses based on provided financial information, calculate taxable income, tax liabilities, and refunds accurately, stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Payroll Processing: Process payroll accurately and timely for employees, calculate wages, taxes, deductions, and benefits, prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits, ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, CPA or CA certification preferred, proven experience working as an accountant in Australia, in-depth knowledge of Australian tax laws, payroll laws, and regulations, proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Salary: AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Benefits: Competitive compensation, negotiable salary based on skill level and experience, contributions fund assistance for SSS, Philhealth, and Pag-ibig, traditional employment set-ups only cover 50% while you shoulder the rest as a salary deduction.
