**Position Title**: Accounting Staff
**Reports To**: Finance Manager
**Employment Type**: Full-Time/Part-Time

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Payroll Preparation and Administration**:

- Accurately calculate and process payroll on a regular schedule.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the preparation of payroll-related tax forms (e.g., PAYG, superannuation, etc.).
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including leave balances and deductions.
- Address payroll inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- **General Accounting Duties**:

- Record and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Assist in reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
- **Reporting and Compliance**:

- Prepare financial reports, including budgets, expense tracking, and variance analysis.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes.
- Provide support for other finance-related tasks as needed.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of [Insert Number] years of accounting experience, with payroll expertise preferred.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB).
- **Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $47,138.70 - $99,551.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Christmas bonus
- Commission
- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
