**Your New Role**:
The role will be working in the Payroll Team supporting our fortnightly payrun with a focus on our EA covered workforce. You will be managing the day-to-day payroll activities, including assisting with new starters, wage queries, processing retrospective payments, processing terminations and regular and ad-hoc reporting requests. Provide feedback on opportunities as well as implement improvements to the payroll processes.
You will provide responsive, accurate employee services on payroll matters, resolving enquiries and assisting in identifying payroll errors. You will also be involved in implementing corrective actions and improvement opportunities where required to ensure employee payments are processed accurately and in line with our obligations. This role will allow you to make a tangible impact on the business and will develop your skills managing the end-to-end payment processes.
- Completing new starter and terminations set up and processing
- Supporting the production of the fortnightly payroll, performing checks, reconciliations, and dispersals.
- Processing pay corrections and out of cycle payment runs
- Interprets and advises on payroll related acts, awards, agreements, policies, and procedures
- Providing customer service to our employees via ticket resolution management system and phone rosters
- Champion continuous improvement within the team
- Build strong relationships within the wider P&C team and with our stakeholders
**About You**:
- Degree qualification preferable combined with specialist training and substantial relevant payroll experience
- Extensive experience working in a complex payroll environment within a large organization
- Knowledge of STP, Income Tax, PAYG, Workers Compensation, EA agreements and awards
- Demonstrated knowledge in coordinating and managing the delivery of pay processing with a demonstrated ability to provide professional advice that provides reliable services to our customers
- Current understanding of relevant legislation
- Significant proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, customers, and stakeholders
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, presentation and relationship building skills, gained through experience working with staff at all levels of a large organization
