**Your New Role**:
The role is primarily responsible for overseeing and materially enhancing the end-to-end payroll process for both salaried and hourly paid employees. Payroll accuracy and operational efficiency are the two key measurable goals for this role therefore, utilising leading practice technology solutions to achieve these goals is paramount for demonstrable success.

By implementing and managing a contemporary, best-practice payroll life cycle this position is required to play a visible role to ensure strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance payroll efficiencies, streamline workflows, and implement transformative change in payroll services. You will drive operational excellence and take the lead role in ensuring seamless transitions which will be underpinned by your existing SAP SuccessFactors expertise.

**Your New Role Looks Like This**:

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll services including design, implementation, and management of a contemporary, best-practice payroll life cycle.
- Develop and execute complex payroll transformation programs across a national landscape.
- Identify and own opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digitization managing to implementation.
- Sponsor change management plans to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of new payroll processes.
- Lead a team of Payroll Specialists to ensure on-time payments across numerous entities and Enterprise Agreements.
- Ensure the team’s seamless delivery of Group pay processing in line with applicable payroll laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Educate the team on changes to Income Tax, FBT, PAYG, Workers Compensation, Enterprise Agreements and Awards, HR practices and timesheet management.
- Role model the aspired Leadership behaviours to develop and retain high quality team members aligned to the Australian Unity culture.
- Partner and collaborate across functions to deliver on key strategic initiatives and drive customer obsession.
- Manage people processes, risk management frameworks, and your responsible workforce resources, including effective management of FTE budgets.

**About You**:

- Proven understanding and a minimum 3 years’ experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC), EC Payroll and EC Time Off.
- Working knowledge of UKG Workforce Dimensions.
- Degree qualification combined with specialist training and substantial relevant payroll experience.
- Significant experience working on complex payroll transformation programs
- Substantial, relevant, and up to date knowledge in Income Tax, FBT, PAYG, Workers Compensation, EA agreements and awards, and HR practices.
- Proven ability to lead a complex payroll program such as transitioning in an acquired business.
- Experience in effective process mapping, improvement opportunities.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, customers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to create a constructive culture and coach, manage and support a team to success.
