With over 35 years’ experience working with Defence and with the recently awarded 6-year Firefighting Services contract, 2024 is an exciting time to join Ventia. In support of this newly awarded contract, Ventia are seeking a National Workforce Manager to join their global and diverse organisation.

**About the role**

Based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth, this role will see you responsible for leading workforce planning activities and implementation of an effective Workforce plan for the Firefighting Services portfolio, to ensure that operational and capability requirements are met.- This position is primarily responsible for:
- Determining the best way to optimise employee’s productivity, using techniques and theories of workforce management.
- Tracking labour time and using workforce data analysis to improve efficiency and forecast staffing needs across the contract.
- Management of systems development and support, enabling Fire Capability and Fire Station Managers access to real time workforce management data to maximise operational performance and capability.
- Reporting and financial management, including developing, analysing, reporting and providing recommendations to Firefighting Services leaders on workforce management impact variables.
- Compliance and continuous improvement ensuring compliance to workplace standards, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.

**About you**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related field and/ or combination of relevant experience and education.
- Solid foundation in HR with an emphasis on workforce management and data analytics.
- Experience in a services-based environment.
- Experience with managing a team and exceptional relationship building skills.
- Talent and change management experience.
- Excellent judgement, initiative, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dispute and conflict resolution skills.
