About the Role

As a Renewable Energy Project Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering our renewable energy growth strategy by supporting Development Project Managers in taking projects from concept to completion. Your expertise will help us develop and execute projects that meet our targets of 5GW by 2030 and 12 GW by 2035.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Developing AGL's portfolio of wind, battery, and pumped hydro projects in the National Electricity Market (NEM)
  • Assisting with contract negotiations for construction and transmission connection
  • Identifying, reporting, and managing key risks associated with projects
  • Assisting in developing and executing project implementation plans to deliver project outcomes within approved budgets and schedules
  • Negotiating commercial and contractual relationships with contractors to manage project risk
  • Coordinating internal and external resources to obtain necessary permits and licenses
  • Assisting in community consultation activities, including preparing presentations for community meetings and meeting with stakeholders
  • Ensuring Health, Safety, and Environment systems are introduced and adhered to

About You

You'll ideally have experience in renewable energy and/or battery storage project development, complemented by further energy industry experience and an understanding of the NEM. Your outstanding business acumen, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills will set you up for success.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Tertiary qualification in business and technical fields such as Finance, Commerce, or Engineering
  • Strong technical and commercial skills
  • Experience in the energy industry
  • An understanding of renewable energy and/or project development requirements
  • Project, regulatory, and risk management skills
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
