Lifeline Australia is a national suicide prevention charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. They are committed to empowering Australians to be suicide-safe through connection, compassion and hope. This is achieved through a partnership of over 10,000 committed volunteers and their member centres in communities across the nation.
**ROLE**
The Head of Strategic Partnerships and Campaigns is responsible for driving revenue growth and supporter engagement from a portfolio of multi-year national, brand aligned corporate partnerships, third party beneficiary events, community fundraising and signature fundraising campaigns.
The role leads on the national strategy for retained partners, workplace giving, corporate volunteering partner activation and integration and third-party beneficiary and community fundraising.
The position sits within the Marketing and Fundraising leadership team and works in close collaboration with:
- the National Managers in Partner Acquisition, Individual Giving and Marketing on the development of new business and integrated fundraising campaigns
- other members of the Marketing and Fundraising team, sharing responsibility for driving diverse revenue streams and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- the database and supporter services team to ensure all fundraising campaigns are informed by supporter behavioural and motivation insight and that the supporter experience is integrated seamlessly in all aspects of our fundraising operation.
- across the business and the wider Lifeline Network to effectively align and communicate the Lifeline supporter experience, deliver partnership opportunity and to build a consistent supporter, brand experience.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**_Strategic Partnerships _**
- Together with the Executive Director, Marketing and Fundraising, and in consultation with National Manager Partner Acquisition, develop a clear growth strategy for brand partnerships that maximises revenue and supports mental health and suicide prevention advocacy objectives in aligned industry sectors
- Contribute to the end-to-end pitch and strategic partnership process including developing the partner strategy, engaging external partners, developing a mutually beneficial commercial construct, contract negotiation and implementation
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams across Service Design, Marketing, Legal, Stakeholder Relations to bring 'first of their kind' partnerships to life
- Contribute to and report on a robust and comprehensive new business process through identification, qualification and execution of potential partnership opportunities
- Cultivate strong business relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating on corporate development opportunities, and building long-lasting partnerships
- Understand and communicate market trends to identify future partnership opportunities
- Develop commercial models to aid negotiation and deliver the best outcomes for Lifeline and the partnerships
- Ensure quality communication and clear processes and structures are in place to track and maintain new and existing partnerships through our CRM system
- Ensure that contractual commitments are met on both sides of the partnerships
- Develop long term, mutually beneficial relationships with senior executives of current and prospective strategic partners who assist in the delivery of Lifeline’s mission and growth
- Drive individual pitch performance accountability by creating clear and measurable goals aligned with the business plan
- Prioritise and manage a high volume of internal and external engagements and the fast pace of the Lifeline eco-system
- Effectively network with relevant Lifeline members to create partnerships opportunities and adopt innovation.
**_Campaigns and Community Fundraising _**
- Lead the strategy, development and implementation of Lifeline’s Signature, Third Party and Community Fundraising campaigns including Out of the Shadows, Push Up Challenge and Be Active.
- Work collaboratively across the team to lead and develop omni-channel, impactful and profitable fundraising campaigns.

- Manage and develop a team of two Campaign specialists and two Partnership specialists to consistently deliver on retained partnerships, campaign plans, fundraising events, outreach and engagement.
