Council’s newly established Community Hubs team is a multidisciplinary team managing critical services to residents of the Kiama LGA, including Leisure Centre programs and activities, community development and capacity building, Community Halls and Facilities and the Youth Centre.

We are seeking highly motivated, skilled, innovative and driven Community Development Officer (Youth) to join our Community Hubs team and be part of this new and exciting journey, aspiring to be exemplar in everything we do. You will get to:

- To provide support to community development programs and services.
- To identify and assess recreational, vocational, educational, health and social needs of young people in the Kiama Local Government area, and to develop and deliver programs that address these needs.
- Develop and foster relationships with a range of community stakeholders including local schools and youth service providers.

**What we offer...**
- **Role 1)** Permanent full time, 35 hours per week & **Role 2)** Permanent part time, 14 hours per week
- Annual salary from $69,870.84 to $87,280.44 pro rata(salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Plus 11% superannuation
- Mobile Phone

**What you'll need to be successful in the role...**
- Certificate IV or higher qualification in Youth Work, Community Services/Welfare or another relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience working as a youth worker or working in a related community/educational discipline.
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with young people and individuals from variety of backgrounds including management and corporate organisations.
- Knowledge of youth culture, youth services sector and issues impacting young people and the wider community.
