The Forest and Fire Engagement Officer has a strong focus on supporting the Forest Management Planning process. The officer contributes to the development, co-delivery and monitoring of high-quality engagement and support activities for forest and fire planning in the Port Phillip region. The position supports effective engagement with, and involvement of government partner agencies and Traditional Owners. There is some engagement with external community and stakeholders' groups in relation to reducing bushfire risk work.
The Forest and Fire Engagement Officer role works with the Forest and Fire Planning Unit to ensure the consistent, integrated, and efficient delivery of engagement and support services that support regional partnerships and the delivery of regional priority projects across the Forest and Fire Operations Division.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Qualifications and/or expertise related to forest management, and/or stakeholder and community engagement are desirable.

This is a fixed term position available for a period from 4 May to 22 Sept 2023. The work location for this position is Port Phillip Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
