**About the Role**

We have a great opportunity for an experienced stakeholder engagement professional to join NHVR’s Corporate Affairs division in Melbourne. With support from the wider Industry Engagement and Customer Support team, you will be the sole Stakeholder Engagement Officer covering Victoria and Tasmania.

At a high level, Stakeholder Engagement Officers build, maintain and nurture relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including the complete transport industry supply chain, and local and state government jurisdictions. They coordinate education materials and provide insight into key issues impacting on the ability of regulatory program industry participants to improve safe transport operations and comply with regulatory obligations.

This is a permanent, full time position based in our Port Melbourne office. Due to the nature of the position, there may be a requirement to undertake occasional planned and on-call work outside business hours. There is also a travel element to the role, which will see you travelling to Tasmania approximately two to three times per year, and throughout regional Victoria roughly every two months.

**About You**

With strong stakeholder engagement experience, you will be able to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders - from truck drivers to CEOs of transport and supply chain companies, and road managers of local governments. Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry will be highly regarded.

Reporting to the Manager of Stakeholder Engagement and Customer Experience in our Brisbane head office, you will show initiative to execute projects and work autonomously.

To succeed in this role, you will be able to manage priorities and deliver quality outcomes within required timeframes. Supporting this, you will hold high level communication and written skills.

To be considered for the position, you must hold a current open driver licence and be available to perform occasional work outside normal hours and undertake travel to regional Victoria and Tasmania.
