This role will oversee the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Procurement activities will focus on ensuring effective and compliant procurement activities that balance both Victorian Government Procurement policies and the programmatic requirements of the organisation.

**Key accountabilities**
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation and negotiation to execution
- Ensure that terms and conditions are aligned with current legislation and policy
- Lead the procurement process, from clarifying requirements through to placing, monitoring, and terminating contracts
- Oversee and measures the fulfillment of contractual obligations
- Identify where changes are required, evaluates the impact, and advises stakeholders about the implications and consequences for the business and/or the procurement element of programmes/projects
- Monitors and reports on supplier performance, customer satisfaction, and market intelligence
- Engage proactively and collaboratively with suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance

**Skills and experience**
- Experience in IT Contract management and/or Procurement role across a variety of process and functions, particularly in the areas of IT Contract Management function in government department
- Proven complex procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement benefits including financial savings
- Ability in the leadership, management and development of a team, is desirable
- Solid expertise in building strong and productive working relationships within teams and with clients and internal and external stakeholders
- Strong influencing skills at senior levels to influence acceptance of a new way of working
- Excellent communication, written and influencing skills, and the ability to adapt these to a diverse range of stakeholders and contexts
- Ability to analyse information and present a clear, accurate summary to a variety of audiences
