Do you have demonstrable experience in the management of engineering or construction client and subcontractor contracts in a complex multi-million dollar project environment?

Our customer is a leading provider of large-scale industrial automated solutions in airport systems and intralogistics / warehouse systems.

Their pipeline of work in ANZ is significant in both scale and volume and to support the successful delivery of current and projected projects, they now have an immediate opportunity in the key role of Contract Manager (ANZ).
- Ensure that the company's requirements to contract management are consistently followed in ANZ
- Prepare, manage and administer customers and subcontractors contracts including the development of Contract and Change Management Strategy for the projects
- Review project documentation and assess, identify and coordinate the management of potential risks
- Maintain contractual overview of project obligations and baselines (scope, quality, time) including records of all contractual deviations and consequences

In addition
- Participate throughout the sales phase of projects including contract review, assessment, re-draft and negotiation.
- Work with Project Planners and Cost Controllers to prepare change orders and variations.
- Substantiate, submit and negotiate variations with the customer
- Support the preparation and execution of subcontracts in coordination with procurement colleagues
- Provide regular updates to Project Management and internal management on contractual deviations
- Maintain project documentations and records
- Create notices of impact of any program element that has affected or may affect the scope, time or cost of the project
- Support the Project Management team in fulfilling correspondence requirements as addressed in the contract
- Collaborate with the commercial team with the commercial management team to drive continuous improvement company contracts through lessons learned and mitigating risk exposure in projects

About you

It is likely that you have previous experience working within project teams as a key participant for the Project Director/Project Manager for construction or engineering capital projects. You have intimate understanding of how large construction/engineering projects are executed and experience of in Australia and/or New Zealand construction contracts. In addition to your tertiary qualifications in commercial management, contract management, industrial engineering, project management or similar you have
- superior written and oral communication and coordination skills and understand how to operate in a supportive and well-networked matrix organisation
- extensive knowledge of cause and effect in construction or engineering projects with its many stakeholders,
- executed change management including claims and variations for time and cost
- lead contract administration including preparation and maintenance of accurate project records and contractual correspondence.
- a demonstrated talent and flair for contract management.
- Willingness to accommodate some project-related travel in ANZ
