Royal Australian Mint Temporary Employment Register
Why work at the Royal Australian Mint?
The Royal Australian Mint is Australia’s national mint and sole producer of circulating coins for Australia. We also produce circulating coins for other countries, and manufacture an array of collector coins, investor products, medals, medallions and tokens for our clients.
We are the custodian of Australia’s National Coin Collection and are responsible for collecting and preserving a representative record of Australian coinage for future generations. We also educate visitors on the history of Australian coinage, as well as how coins are produced in a contemporary manufacturing environment.
Our workplace is heritage listed and we are a unique and leading tourism attraction in Canberra. We have operated for 57 years and have 1,863 years of unique technical experience embedded in our workforce.
We operate in an environment of continuing uncertainty and change. Innovation provides us with opportunities to embrace and positively manage this environment. Our workforce is central to our success in achieving the Mint’s strategy which is described in the Royal Australian Mint Corporate Plan 2022-2025.
In order for us to succeed, now and in the future, we need to ensure that we have the right workforce. The Mint is committed to finding talented and motivated people to join us on our mission, with a view to delivering exceptional value for all Australians.
