**The opportunity**:
Join our team as a part time Intellectual Property Manager and help us capture, protect and commercialise research opportunities across our MCRI portfolio. Working collaboratively with our Head of Intellectual Property, Innovation Team Stream Leads, and Tech Transfer Managers, you will play a key role in managing our IP portfolio, promoting the importance of IP protection, and identifying and evaluating projects for commercialisation.

This position is part time at 22.8 hours per week. Join us and make a meaningful impact on the future of children’s health and medical research.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Identification and assessment of new IP for patentability, including oversight of patent and literature searching by Innovation Analyst
Reviewing prior art and working with inventors to progress IP rights to grant/registration.
Participate in due diligence activities
Advising Legal Team on IP issues arising in agreements

**About you**:
Completed or working towards completion of a Masters of Intellectual Property Law and optionally Patent and Trade Mark Registration in Australia or overseas
Strong scientific background and qualifications
Experience in a medical research, healthcare or biotech industry environment
Strong knowledge of MTAs, license and other agreements is highly regarded
