**About the Role**
Shape the future The Development Team tackles strategic challenges, from land use to environmental impact, driving successful real estate projects across the organisation. As the Development Manager, you will be on the forefront of collaborating and navigating projects, particularly in the front end from concept toward completion, ensuring maximum value is delivered according to the Long Term Capital Plan (LTCP).

Your responsibilities will include:

- Development of project strategy, programs, and initiatives, ensuring evidence-based decision making through tasks like financial modelling and feasibility assessments.
- Fostering collaboration across the organisation, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders while managing and motivating their development team.
- Overseeing project success by managing budgets, timelines, risks, and ensuring projects adhere to sustainability best practices.

**Who we are looking for**

You will also have:

- The applicant will have postgraduate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and extensive relevant experience; or extensive management experience (and postgraduate or professional level qualifications) in another relevant discipline
- Experience leading major projects and possess a keen understanding of our strategic direction.
- Proven track record in a domain area aligned with the University's strategic priorities

**Your new team - Chief Financial Operating Group**
The Finance team's core objective is to advance University strategy through financial leadership and innovation, strategic sourcing and contracting. The Corporate Finance Property & Sustainability Team (CFPS) is part of the CFO Group and includes responsibility for design and implementation of the University’s Estate Plan as well as the development function of the University’s major strategic property initiatives, aligned with the Development Framework. The team is focused on ensuring that the University’s property assets (current and future) meet the long and short-term business needs of the University, supporting the core objectives of research, teaching and learning and student experience, and industry and community engagement. The CFPS team is responsible for ensuring that the University’s property, infrastructure, and financial assets/liabilities enable strategy and provide a meaningful competitive advantage.

The CFPS division key activities include strategy, planning and performance of the University’s estate, investment in and development of real property, capital planning and associated investment processes, enterprise portfolio management monitoring and reporting, oversight of financial investment portfolios, treasury and financial risk management, debt and commercial advisory and execution, sustainability strategy development, planning and reporting, and communications and stakeholder engagement.
