**About the role**
The role of Governance Officer will provide corporate governance and secretariat support across the business, with direction from the Corporate Governance Manager / Company Secretary. Supporting the Board of Directors and Board Committees, you will coordinate Board and Committee reports, publish papers and minutes, maintain action registers and keep accurate records. The position has responsibility for developing and managing The Mutual Bank’s Controlled Document Framework and providing controlled document support across the organisation.
**About you**
Your contribution in supporting strategic initiatives will be highly valued by your peers, Management and the Board and make a positive impact on our Members. Your previous experience in administering and project managing corporate governance activities and your ability to maintain company records will be invaluable in this role. If you have a passion for policies and procedures and are skilled at drafting, reviewing and advising this could be a great opportunity for you.
You will have tertiary qualifications in either law, business or an equivalent qualification and you will have a strong understanding of the Corporations Act as it relates to company administration, meetings and Director's duties.
