This is a key position within The Bloomfield Group, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering end-of-month management accounts and reports, as well as half-year and full-year financial statements. They will also provide assurance on oversight of financial controls, regulatory reporting, risk management, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide commercial input to estimating, quoting, cost control, contracts, and management of business profitability.
- Lead governance initiatives, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, taxation, and other legislative requirements.
- Monitor market developments and adapt the business strategy to factor in changing macro and micro influences.
- Prepare financial statements and management accounts, including associated analysis and commentary.
- Manage internal and external audits for The Bloomfield Group.
- Optimize the use of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for cost recording and reporting.
- Provide professional expertise as a member of both the Management Team and The Bloomfield Group Finance team to support Kings Engineering and Group Finance projects and initiatives.
We are seeking a degree-qualified professional with current Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) membership, coupled with at least 10 years' experience in a commercial accounting role. The ideal candidate will be an influential leader with highly developed financial acumen, up-to-date with the latest accounting standards and legislation. Previous experience in manufacturing, mergers and acquisitions, import/export of goods and services, and process improvements is highly desirable.
