About the Role

The Compliance Governance Manager will lead the team and ensure the corporate governance, risk, and assurance functions meet requirements in accordance with internal and external regulatory frameworks.

This is a Full-Time role with capacity for hybrid / WFH delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Corporate Registers: Ensure the suite of corporate registers, including risk, policy, legal, and other contracts, are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Insurance Policy Management: Manage and coordinate insurance policy renewal and claims to support organisational needs.
  • Internal Audit Schedule: Develop and implement an internal audit schedule to ensure effective risk management and compliance.
  • Constitutional Requirements: Action constitutional requirements for members and directors, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Corporate Governance Calendar: Maintain a corporate governance calendar, proactively planning actions to meet required timeframes.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure the organisation is adhering to all corporate governance registrations, standards, and frameworks.
About You

You must be a great team member with a proactive mindset, solutions-focused, and outcomes-driven.

  • Qualifications: Bachelor in Business, Law, Legal, Justice, Human Resources, Management, Finance, and/or other related areas, and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience: Proven experience developing and implementing an internal audit schedule, understanding of constitutional requirements, and ability to provide strategic and operational leadership.
  • Skills: Excellent working skills using the MS Office Suite, excellent communication skills, and ability to lead and embed a positive risk management culture and practices.
Desirable Skills
  • Not-for-Profit Experience: Experience working in the not-for-profit or disability sector.
  • ACNC Governance Principles: Working knowledge of ACNC governance principles.
  • NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission: Awareness of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission practice standards and compliance audits.
  • Insurance Policy Renewal: Understanding of the insurance policy renewal and claims process and ability to act as a subject matter expert in this area to support organisational needs.
