The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Governance Manager to lead our team and ensure the corporate governance, risk, and assurance functions meet requirements in accordance with internal and external regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the suite of corporate registers, including risk, policy, legal, and other contracts.
- Manage and coordinate insurance policy renewal and claims to support organisational needs.
- Develop and implement an internal audit schedule.
- Action constitutional requirements for members and directors.
- Maintain a corporate governance calendar and proactively plan actions to meet required timeframes.
- Ensure the organisation is adhering to all corporate governance registrations, standards, and frameworks.
We are looking for a great team member with a proactive mindset, solutions-focused, and outcomes-driven. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Legal, Justice, Human Resources, Management, Finance, or a related area, and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience developing and implementing an internal audit schedule.
- Understanding of constitutional requirements.
- Ability to provide strategic and operational leadership, direction, and advice to the organisation on the delivery of effective frameworks and systems to support good governance and organisational performance management.
- Oversee the implementation and review of governance and risk management policies and procedures.
- Lead and embed a positive risk management culture and practices across the organisation.
- Review and identify areas for improvement and implement best practice governance processes.
- Excellent working skills using the MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working in the not-for-profit or disability sector.
- Working knowledge of ACNC governance principles.
- Awareness of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission practice standards and compliance audits.
- Understanding of the insurance policy renewal and claims process and ability to act as a subject matter expert in this area to support organisational needs.
