**You are** an experienced Operations Manager with proven success in the Freight Forwarding industry. Your organisational skills are excellent and you understand how to streamline processes for maximum efficiency. You build great relationships both internally and externally with staff, clients and suppliers. If this sounds like you then we’d love to chat.

**About our client**:
Our client is an international air and ocean freight forwarder based in Australia. In recent years they have been experiencing significant growth in their client base across a number of countries.

**Key responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for end-to-end transactions for both air and sea freight.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Manage a team of operations professionals
- Streamline operations to ensure maximum efficiency
- Manage import and export sea operations using CargoWise
- Provide advice and support for the preparation of tenders and quotations
- Monitor and update shipment status reports
- Build and maintain excellent relationships both internally and externally with staff, clients and suppliers
- Support the sales and management teams
- Other duties as required by the Branch Manager

**Skills and experience**:

- Minimum 3 years’ operations management experience in the freight forwarding industry
- Import and export air and sea operations experience
- Proven ability to streamline operations to improve efficiency
- Problem solving acumen
- High level of computer literacy and experience in using CargoWise software
- Ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, agents, staff and all stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
