**The Role**
The MD Division Skills & Training Leader/Manager is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex to very complex learning and development work within an integrated workforce. They will require an in-depth knowledge of compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and the Australian Signals Directorate’s mission and policy requirements.

The MD Division Skills & Training Leader/Manager will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role. They will exercise sound decision-making and judgement to provide expert policy advice. They will engage in complex to very complex problem solving and issues management and may coordinate and perform detailed or sensitive projects that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for Australian Signals Directorate.

This position has people management responsibility and as such, you will be required to exercise your people management skills, knowledge to lead and manage a high performing, and cohesive team.

**About our Team**
The Mission Data (MD) Division with ASD is responsible for providing the foundational data capabilities to support all of ASD's functions. We do this via the provision of data platforms and service, management of ASD's mission data, and providing complex analytic development and support, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities. All roles within MD require extensive knowledge of and compliance with frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
- Demonstrates the ability to proactively build and sustain positive working relationships with team members, senior leadership and stakeholders to identify the training needs of our workforce.
- Exercise strong people management skills, knowledge to lead a high performing, and cohesive team.
- Liaise with external training providers for offerings that complement internal programs.
- Have well developed interpersonal and administrative skills, a strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise your work efficiently, and the ability to work effectively to timeframes.
