Trade Assistant- Council Position

CK Recruitment are currently working with our Local Government Client to assist in filling the role of Trade Assistant.

This is a Varied role where you may be assisting Carpenters, Painters or the Graffiti Removal team

**Your Duties may include but not be limited to**:

- Undertake a range of labouring activities associated with
- Sign manufacture and errection
- Graffiti removal
- Carpentry works
- Painting works
- Complete all paperwork associated with this role
- Promote a positive image of Council by acting as an ambassador and wearing Councils designated uniform
- Be able to adapt to changing work priorities to ensure delivery of value for money for services
- Provide feedback and input on improvements in operating procedures, programs and work schedules, including upgrading or improvements to plant, equipment, materials and tools used by the team.
- Participate in the ongoing development of a safe, cooperative and supportive workplace that delivers best value, community orientated services to the city of Parramatta.
- Organising the maintenance and servicing of the graffiti truck and Soda blasting equipment
- Problem solving and servicing of the soda blasting equipment when requiring repairs, as well as undertaking these repairs
- Responsible for stocking the graffiti with materials and chemicals to ready for rapid response deployment
- Organise the daily work run for the graffiti truck.

**Qualifications, Experience and Essential Competencies**

**Qualifications**
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (MR Advantage)
- White Card

**Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in labouring activities
- Demonstrated experience in graffiti removal processes
- Demonstrated experience in minor maintenance works

**Job Specific**
- Ability to work in a flexible team comprising staff of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
- A demonstrated commitment to and understanding of OH&S and EEO policies and procedures
- Capacity to adapt to changing priorities while achieving the delivery of the assigned program of works
- Technical Knowledge of entering jobs into Councils palm Pilot register
- Technical knowledge of Councils spray painting equipment for line marking and spray overs of fences
- Monitor the stock levels of materials for the graffiti removal process
