**Overview**

We are looking for a Consumer Product Manager to join our Health Insurance Product and Portfolio team. As the Consumer Product Manager, you will lead the design and development of the consumer health insurance customer-oriented product strategy, focusing on acquisition and retaining key customer segments.

You will play a pivotal role in developing and driving the value proposition for consumer health insurance customers evolving our product offering in the market and end-to-end customer experience to meet business objectives. This role has end to end ownership and accountability of membership and gross margin and will act as the customer champion for customers.

This role reports into the Consumer Customer Value Proposition (CVP) Manager. This is a permanent full-time position and is working within a hybrid environment so you can work from home, or the office.

**How will I help?**

You will be the champion for the customer. Leading all aspects of the creation and delivery of the product offer including product design, benefit levels, coverage, access, service, processes and pricing and develop new proposition offerings to meet and exceed customer expectations.

**Your everyday jobs are but not limited to**:

- Work with the Consumer CVP Manager, to design and develop a robust customer-oriented product strategy, focusing on acquisition and retaining key customer segments.
- Provide strategic and tactical management supporting the Product Delivery Team including proposition strategy, product changes, benefit and rate changes, policy updates, terms, training etc.
- Proactively drive the development of new product offerings, new business volumes, product profitability, and protection / growth of gross margins.
- Lead and facilitate product assessment and innovation including product extension, value adds, product bundling, packaging etc. This will include the integration of Wellness, Broader Health Cover, Financial Services and partnering for 3rd party offerings into the core segment suite.
- Qualitative and strategic assessment of segment offering including product, pricing and hierarchy analysis vs competitor product offerings, and the development of tactical responses with cross-functional teams.
- Provide product knowledge to product team and other business units.

**What do I need?**

Firstly, you have a passion for product development and the customer experience. You will have demonstrated experience in developing customer lead propositions aligned to target segments, ideally within Health Insurance or similar industry.

**You will also have**:

- Proven success in Product Development functional experience of at least 5 years
- Expertise in Australian healthcare product development functional experience (or similar industry)
- Demonstrated experience in the development of marketing and product strategy, as well as product analytics, segmentation and insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a matrix structure in a highly regulated industry to deliver business outcomes
- Experience in project management roles and leading project initiatives
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing or related business discipline (preferred)
- A strong knowledge of health insurance products (preferred)
