**The Opportunity**:

- The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a PSL 4/5 Broadcasting Audio Visual Operator within Digital Recording Services Branch.
- Parliamentary Broadcasting provides a range of broadcasting services (television, audio and AV) to Parliament.

**Who we are looking for**:

- We are looking for an experienced and competent person with knowledge and proven experience in providing a range of AV services including the setup and operation of data projection, multimedia displays, public address systems and live audio production (both in-house and interstate). Additional experience in press conference and broadcast standard audio will be a definite advantage.
- The successful applicant will work as part of a dedicated team and have a strong customer service ethos together with a commitment to excellence.

**Job Specific Requirements**:

- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.
- Will be required to work extended and/or irregular hours on an “as required” basis.
- Perform Parliamentary Broadcasting Officer duties may require interstate travel as directed.

- Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the PSL 4/5 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Operate a range of television, audio and audio-visual (AV) facilities to support the proceedings of the Parliament.
- Within established guidelines, provide televised and audio coverage of proceedings of chambers and committees (including interstate committees).
- Develop a working knowledge of the range of services offered by the team and the session, as well as technique and approaches to support high quality customer service.
- Provide support and/or relief to members of the team during periods of peak operational activities.
- Undertake other duties as required to support the section.
- Note: Employees may be deployed to duties of an equivalent level in this area of the section to meet changing work priorities.
- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._

**Salary**:

- Currently, the salary range for this position is $74,730 - $88,858 per annum.
