Human Resources Recruitment and Onboarding Officer

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated HR Officer to join our fast-growing staffing agency in Sydney. The HR Officer will play a crucial role in the recruitment and onboarding process of Registered Nurses, AINs (Assistant in Nursing), and Disability Support Workers,.This position requires strong knowledge of the Aged care, NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) and excellent communication skills to interact with workers, clients, and support coordinators. The HR Officer will be responsible for various HR tasks, including onboarding, follow-ups, recruitment, job descriptions, job postings, and rostering.
**Responsibilities**:
**Recruitment**:
- Conduct reference checks and background screenings.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify job requirements and develop comprehensive job descriptions.
**Onboarding and Orientation**:
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations.
- Ensure all required paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide new employees with necessary information and resources to succeed in their roles.
**Job Descriptions and Job Postings**:
- Create and update job descriptions for different positions within the agency.
- Advertise job openings through appropriate channels, including online job boards and social media platforms.
**Rostering**:
- Collaborate with support coordinators and clients to create and maintain staff rosters.
- Ensure proper scheduling and allocation of staff to meet client needs and compliance requirements.
**Follow-up and Communication**:
- Maintain regular communication with workers to address any concerns, provide support, and ensure job satisfaction.
- Liaise with clients and support coordinators to ensure effective communication and resolve any issues.
**Requirements**:
- At least 1 year of experience in recruitment or HR-related roles.
- Familiarity with the NDIS and the staffing needs within the healthcare sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with workers, clients, and support coordinators.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using HR software and systems.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Location: Parramatta
- 20 hours per week.
- Hourly rate: $28-30/hour, commensurate with experience. (+Superannuation)
- 6-month probation period.
- Flexible work schedule
