Job Title: Human Resources Officer

Public Sector People is partnering with a Local Council in Sydney to find a dedicated Human Resources Officer to work on an exciting project. This role is vital in maintaining accurate employee records, managing onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access and review various sources of HR related information to maintain knowledge of contemporary Human Resource issues, legislative changes, and best practices.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing Human Resource system documentation, including policies, procedures, position descriptions, and programs.
  • Provide professional, accurate, and timely advice to internal and external customer enquiries.

Essentials:

  • Relevant HR qualifications and/or relevant experience in HR, recruitment/employee relations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and current issues.
  • Ideally have experience within local government.
