We also deploy medical professionals and aircraft in support of defence, government and commercial contracts, and energy and resource sector sites.

**The role**

We currently have a unique opportunity for a Grants Officer to join our Fundraising team and be exposed to CareFlights rapid response Aeromedical service. The roles also offers flexible working arrangements, which included working remotely or from our Northmead HQ, or a combination of both.

Reporting to the Head of Sponsorship, Grants & Events, key responsibilities include:

- production (writing, editing and proof reading) of all submissions
- maintain records on Trusts and Foundation donors including prospect research
- assist with identifying items to fundraise for and match potential donors
- develop and nurture relationships with prospective donors
- operate within Charity Law and Data Protection legislation and adhere to the Institute of Fundraising Codes of Practice
- work with tender project manager(s) to assist with the development and submission of tenders as required
- provide assistance in the areas of Trusts and Philanthropic donations as required
- investigate grant project management systems (e.g., SharePoint, RFP365; RFPIO) and make recommendations to management
- participate in webinars and other grant/tender writer forums in order to achieve best industry practice

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

- strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
- ability to write with the intent to attract funding
- excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise and develop relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- well-developed interpersonal skills with a proactive and solution orientated approach
- proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- ability to manage time efficiently and work to deadlines
- attentive to details in performing all aspects of the role
- aligns with organisation mission, vision and values

**Desirable**:
The following will be highly regarded:

- experience in writing either grants or tenders
- experience sourcing income from Trusts, Foundations and Grant opportunities
