- Lead and manage the operational and technical production facilities of the Collection Digitisation team in achieving their goals and targets within existing resources with a strong customer focussed approach. Work closely with technical and engineering specialists to innovate and develop end-to-end workflows supporting increased productivity and capabilities.
- Manage the allocation and scheduling of resources and facilities across multiple teams including engineering, to ensure technical quality, production and preservation services are in line with organisational priorities and meet archival standards/best practice.
- Undertake complex project management and procurement for highly specialised equipment and supplies, maintaining currency with emerging technologies and relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and provide expertise and advice in audiovisual preservation and production delivery for high profile NFSA projects.
- Develop and manage an inclusive, positive, flexible and high performing professional workforce that is outward facing and that actively opens up networks across the organisation and beyond.
- Provide high level input into the development and implementation of business plans, reporting, budgets, policies and procedures, and develop, maintain and track costing and productivity information.

- Proven leadership managing large-scale and diverse audiovisual technical operations in an industry and/or cultural environment, with a strong customer focussed approach and commitment to achieving targets and quality outcomes in a deadline driven environment.
- Demonstrated use of best practice audiovisual preservation methodologies and experience in the use of new and emerging digital technologies. The ability to research and develop innovative solutions, workflows and business models to improve and expand existing operational capability and capacity.
- High level project management skills including undertaking complex procurement within a government framework and the ability to introduce current project management methodologies across diverse audiovisual facilities and teams.
- Proven success with building and leading a multi skilled team with a focus on staff performance management and development to achieve clear outcomes. The ability to lead change to build an inclusive, positive, agile and high performing professional workforce that is outward facing and that actively opens up networks across the organisation and beyond.
- Well developed negotiation, written and oral communication. Provide high level input into business plans, reporting, budgets, policies and procedures. Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including extensive experience dealing with industry clients, suppliers and service providers.

Qualifications and/or equivalent experience required:

- Relevant tertiary degree or technical qualifications and/or the equivalent experience in an industry, technical and/or cultural environment.

**Eligibility**

To be eligible for this position you must:

- Be an Australian Citizen
- Satisfactorily complete an Australian Federal Police National Police Check

The other eligibility that may be included in a job would also include the following
- Obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
- Obtain and maintain a Working with Vulnerable People registration.
