**About the Opportunity**:
The Safety, Regulatory and Quality Officer supports the Research and Research Infrastructure outcomes of NST and internal and external scientific users through the management of compliance activities and quality management systems. The position provides specialist advice required to safely and efficiently operate the facilities and laboratories while maximising the user experience.

**About You**:
**Your Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Management and improvement of relevant safety documentation and related submission process, to ensure records and documents are current, accurate, meet regulatory requirements and delivered in a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving the quality management systems (e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001).
- Coordination of tasks and activities to facilitate information exchange and optimise engagement with High Reliability and Enabling teams to ensure timely delivery of safety approvals.
- Ensure compliance with any licence conditions that the facility and laboratory operates under and providing reports to the relevant licencing officer as required.
- Keep abreast of regulatory updates and provide advice to management and staff to ensure the facility and laboratory remains safe, compliant and productive.
- Manage the currency and use of the incident reporting system to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and compliance performance.
