ANSTO is seeking a highly skilled Radiochemist to join our Nuclear Medicine Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and advancing our radiochemistry manufacturing capabilities.

About the Opportunity

The Nuclear Medicine Development Team at ANSTO is dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge experimental science to support the translation and optimisation of our nuclear medicine products. Our focus is on ensuring product quality, safety, profitability, and sustainability. As a Radiochemist, you will be responsible for undertaking capability development programs aimed at advancing our radiochemistry manufacturing capabilities.

About You

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Radiochemist who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in radiochemistry and the development of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals, as well as exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development activities to create and enhance the manufacturing of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for the production of nuclear medicine products, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure the integrity and safety of scientific outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including researchers, engineers, and regulatory experts, to drive innovation and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Engage in continuous learning and participate in capability development programs to stay current with advancements in radiochemistry and nuclear medicine.
