**What you'll be doing**

The primary purpose of the position is to improve the cultural effectiveness and quality of the work of the Health Promotion Service (HPS) across all four priority areas: healthy eating/active living, prevention of harm from alcohol, tobacco control and falls prevention.

The position will ensure that HPS initiatives are effective, culturally safe and inclusive, and are delivered in a manner that is beneficial to and facilitates positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of the Central Coast. The position will provide cultural expertise within the HPS and further enhance the cultural capability and awareness of the service. It will also ensure strong linkages between the HPS, Nunyara and local Aboriginal organisations and communities, with potential to co-design and deliver new projects that are responsive to community needs.

**Where you'll be working**

You will be based at Gosford Hospital, Holden Street.
