As we expand, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our HR team and ensure the effective management of ER processes. The role plays an integral part of HR operations and is a key contributor to building and maintaining an open and supportive culture for our employees and people leaders.

Key Responsibilities will include:
Employee Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.- Address and resolve employee concerns, disputes, and grievances in accordance with company policies and Australian labour laws.- Conduct investigations into workplace issues and provide recommendations for resolution in a timely and balanced manner.

Industrial Relations:
- Stay abreast of changes in industrial relations legislation and regulations.

Policy Development and Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and update HR guidelines aligned with company policies and procedures and reflecting legal requirements and industry best practices.- Monitor and enforce compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws.

Performance Management:
- Support HR in the implementation of performance management processes, including coaching managers on performance improvement plans.- Collaborate with managers to address performance-related issues and ensure fair and consistent outcomes.

Dispute Resolution:
- Mediate and facilitate resolution in cases of workplace conflicts or disputes.- Provide guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution strategies.

Communication:
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to ensure a transparent and open line of communication.- Conduct regular briefings on ER matters to keep employees informed.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of ER cases.- Prepare regular reports for management on ER/IR trends, risks, and outcomes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.- Proven experience in an ER role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.- Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws, industrial relations, and Fair Work regulations.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
