This highly regarded property and advisory group has recently secured a major new contract with a large owner of commercial and retail assets in Sydney CBD. Owing to this, a position has become available for an experienced Property Finance Administrator to work with the Asset Management team to manage the day-to-day finance administration for the portfolio.

**About the role**

This role is responsible for the accurate invoicing, recording, reporting and reconciling of accounts transactions within the Asset Management Trust Account division. You will be responsible for supporting the Finance and Reporting Manager in all areas of accounting, reporting and services of the department. This includes ensuring accurate data entry, the maintenance and processing of computerized trust account and process systems, liaising with owners, tenants and suppliers in respect of compliance and reporting needs of the end client. With an eye for innovation and continued development you will also assist in the implementation of systems and processes and manage internal controls to safeguard company interests. You will use your excellent written and verbal communication skills to support the property management team.

**Core skills and experience will include**:

- Management and maintenance of records in relation to tenancies, building information, owner information, income, expenditure and outgoings.
- Assisting the Finance and Reporting Manager with portfolio financial management
- Monthly bank reconciliation, balancing control accounts and completing trial balances
- Daily receipting and banking of trust income
- Assisting with End of Month rollover and reports
- Assist with accounts payable process
- Assisting with preparing accrual, forecast and variance reports and Trust Accounts audits as required
- Managing accounts payable software program and support in the role of AP administrator
- Assisting in the development procedures and reporting for the efficient operation of the Trust Accounts area
- Assisting handling creditor and tenant enquiries for Trust Account
- Assisting preparation and running of invoicing, cheque payments (or other payment type) and monthly report processes
- Assisting with the preparation of Management Proposals
- Maintaining a high professional and ethical profile in accordance with industry and company standards

**Your background**
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Trust Accounting (Property background is preferred)
- Understanding and knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Accounting best practices
- Meticulous & systematic approach to tasks
- Analytical and effective problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work within deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Ability to learn new software system quickly and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks and objectives within specific time frame
- Experience using MRI Property Management System is highly desirable
