**The Opportunity**

Reporting into the Chief People Officer and as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) the General Manager - People Operations is responsible for providing strong operational management across all shared people services. This includes Recruitment, Employee Services, Health & Wellbeing and HR Business Partnering. This person, will have experience as a true HR generalist with proven track record in leadership and management, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and amongst the SLT to implement effective and efficient people management systems and processes organisation-wide with continuous improvement mindset to uplift functional maturity across the functions.

With the support of a team of 13, the General Manager - People Operations will:

- Understand labour market challenges in the disability sector and implement innovative talent attraction and retention strategies
- Understand complex Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) within the human services sector and ability to provide guidance within the organisation’s risk framework
- Enable true business partnering to drive operational success
- Increase workforce engagement and retention
- Understand employee health, safety and wellbeing considerations within human services sector and implement sound processes and systems
- Embed good systems and processes across employee life-cycle in order to create employee experience aligned with our intentional culture.
- Work in collaboration with key stakeholders to support the implementation of strategic workforce plan and projects.

As an accomplished professional and well-rounded People leader, you will:

- Demonstrated experience leading a People team in the Human Services sector, ideally within Disability services
- Be driven by the opportunity to impact the lives of people with disability
- Experience in uplifting capability across the operational portfolio
- Share in commitment to the Passion, Purpose and Principles of Achieve Australia
