Communications Manager

**Role purpose**
As Communications Manager, you will work in a fast-paced environment within a dynamic and enthusiastic team. Working with multiple stakeholders, this is a hands-on role that is responsible for the writing and execution of our communications program and activities for the MUFG Corporate Markets team.
The role will also manage key external communications in Australia & New Zealand, such as press releases when required and social media copy.
No two days are ever alike in this role, which will suit someone with a high attention to detail and a positive outlook. You will enjoy variety, engaging with your stakeholders and colleagues and love writing
You will have experience with tools such as SharePoint and PowerPoint, as well as strong stakeholder management skills, strong organisational skills, the ability to multi-task and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
**Corporate core (group-level) activities**:
- Research, write, draft and create the weekly CEO Blog
- Ownership for day-to-day management of the Intranet (SharePoint) including uploading new stories and supporting businesses and internal teams on how to use the Intranet for their team pages
- Manage 3rd party partners such as our Intranet developer and technical team and digital communications / video production company where required
**Corporate Markets activities**:
- Draft and implement employee communications
- Support the HR Director in drafting and rolling out internal communications for key events and change management activities
- Support the development and implementation of communication tools (e.g. intranet) and identify new methods of communication to reach the diverse Corporate Markets audience.
- Work with the CM HR team (HR Managers and L&D Manager) to identify ways that communications can enhance their agendas and support the delivery of objectives
- Be an expert on and champion MUFG Pension and Market Services brand guidelines to ensure continuity of experience across the group for Corporate Markets
- Create and implement external communications which leverages content from internal communications and shares it as appropriate through a wide range of mediums (e.g. development of reactive client responses to changes, communications on social media platforms such as LinkedIn regarding Corporate Markets employee initiatives)
**Across both areas**:
- Lead and ensure appropriate signoffs and reviews as part of each activity
- Ensure that all communications assets communicate a consistent tone of voice, succinct and effective messaging

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- At least 5 years in a corporate communications role within the professional services or finance industries.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, advertising, marketing or related field required.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Power or advanced user of Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
- Able to take complex and / or technical information and turn that into communications that are easy to read and understand
- Experience in working with collaboration tools such as Yammer, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams will be highly regarded
- Experience producing internal employee communications videos
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Highly organised, with a high-level of planning and a proven ability to work across and manage multiple in-flight projects.
- Proven ability to build confidence and receive buy-in from stakeholders.
- Accountable for your results and very team-oriented
This role will be part time and offering 3 days per week working Hybrid with a mix of time spent in out CBD office and working from home.
