Job Description Summary: We are looking to add a Single-Cell Multiomics Sales Specialist to the BD Biosciences (BDB) Team, that will offer customers a complete BD solution through successful positioning of the BD Rhapsody Single Cell Multiomics portfolio. The position will cover key accounts across Australia and New Zealand as well as map out and drive growth across this market segment through face-to-face selling, building strong relationships with key customers, education, technical support and attendance at trade displays for our customers across VIC and TAS
The role of the Single-Cell Solutions Specialist is to drive new business opportunities for the BD Rhapsody Single Cell Multiomics product portfolio in partnership with the sales teams to meet annual sales budget and profit margin targets. This person will also demonstrate self-learning and be abreast of current trends in the related research field. As part of the Sales and Clinical team you will have strong commercial acumen and the desire to be part of a team as well as a flexible approach to satisfying customer needs.
Main responsibilities of this role includes:
- The Single-Cell Multiomics Sales Specialist will be responsible for carrying out sales activities for the BD Rhapsody Single-Cell Multiomics (scM) platform in ANZ.
- Identify scM market opportunities, collect relevant market intel and communicate back to the business to support the creation of marketing strategies and tactics to allow the company to effectively differentiate its technology and organization from the competition.
- Understanding the primary scientific objectives of the key accounts in relation to their scM needs, develop and execute customer strategies to capture new opportunities.
- Develop and maintain adequate short/long term pipeline to consistently generate new opportunities and profitable revenue that meets/exceeds targets.
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills to network effectively and build solid business relationships within all levels of key accounts
- Build positive working relationships with key external (major suppliers, customers, partners, industry associations and government representatives) and internal customers, working cross-functionally with Sales Representatives, Customer Service, Inventory Control, Finance, Regulatory and other teams.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Completed tertiary education, BSc or equivalent in life sciences.
- Excellent product knowledge of, and expertise relating to solutions provided through the BD Biosciences portfolio including reagents and instrumentation.
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within larger teams to drive extraordinary results for customers using the BD Rhapsody single-cell system
- Demonstrated sales experience across a range of portfolios including laboratory consumables and capital equipment sales would be preferrable.
- Demonstrated laboratory experience preferably in Immunology, Hematology and Cell Biology.
- Demonstrated business acumen and sales capability.
- Resilient and proactive.
- Strong attention to detail.
The position requires significant direct interaction with existing and potential customers and carries an expectation of 70% travel.
