**About the role**:
The Category Specialist - Major Projects is responsible for developing effective and strategic suppliers in collaboration with the assigned Service Category Manager. Establish strong supplier relationships and ensure operational efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness in all aspects of CitiPower Powercor third party relationships for the provision of Major Project Services. Working collaboratively with the assigned Category Manager on the design and implementation of category level sourcing plans and strategies. Identify innovative concepts and use industry knowledge to monitor and adjust strategies as required.

Pro-actively manage supply risk and performance for the Major Project procurement categories.

**What you’ll deliver**:

- Develop, manage, and oversee value RFx’s, along with completing detailed pre & post RFx analysis.
- Conduct market analysis / benchmarking.
- Develop and implement supply management / supplier / process improvement projects.
- Assist the Category Manager in providing monthly & quarterly reports to lead GM’s and Head of Procurement for the Major Project Category.
- Assess supplier compliance with contract terms.
- Liaise with operational resources within BUs and key stakeholders to ensure that agreed process efficiencies are implemented operationally.
- Positive working relationships with stakeholders to ensure desired business and procurement outcomes are reached.

**To succeed in the role, you’ll have**:

- Degree qualified in Commerce, Business, Finance, or relevant discipline.
- 1- 5 years of end-to-end procurement knowledge with hands-on experience within a Utility Services, global or major corporate organisation for Network or Construction Product and/or Services.
- Demonstrated work experience across the full range of procurement activities including category management, vendor management and/or strategic sourcing.
- Relationship/stakeholder management skills - demonstrated commercial stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, reporting, business writing and problem-solving skills.
