**Category and Contract Specialist**
- _Salary: $109,730 - $132,764_ (Plus Superannuation)_
- _Ongoing role, full time (flexibility may be available)_

**The Role**

The Category and Contract Specialists are accountable for supporting and providing direction for key spend categories under management, including (but not limited to) IT and software services; business services (including but not limited to Marketing and Communications, Media, Travel, Mail, Print and general Business Services; and professional services.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- The development and implementation of category strategies and initiatives.
- Leading strategic engagement with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan for service continuity and improvement in collaboration with relevant business area(s).

**The Team**

The position of Category and Contract Specialist forms a part of the Finance, Investment and Procurement Branch within the Corporate Services Group.

Finance, Investment and Procurement supports best practice resource allocation, budget and financial management and procurement across the department. It does this through the provision of strategic advice to the senior Executive and Ministers, development and implementation of frameworks, policies, systems and internal controls in accordance with the Financial Management Act 1994, other relevant legislation, accounting standards and Department of Treasury and Finance and Victorian Government Purchasing Board requirements.

The branch includes the Procurement Centre, Business Partnering and Reporting Team, Strategy and Investment Team, Financial Services Team and the Reporting and Operations Team.
