This 12-month fixed term contract in Dandenong offers an exciting opportunity to support construction projects with efficient and secured tools for indirect procurement activities. As a Procurement Specialist - Indirect Category, you will be responsible for managing supplier selection processes, creating supplier contracts, and executing contract management. With a strong focus on costing activities, this role supports the implementation of commodity strategies at a country level.
About the Role:
- Procurement Strategy and Planning: Prepare and launch Requests for Quotation with suppliers, supporting the development of procurement strategies and plans for indirect categories.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Foster relationships with key suppliers, negotiating agreements and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.
- Contract Management: Monitor and manage procurement project QCDT and legal project evolution, including FAI, Business Awards, and Product Development.
- Indirect Commodity Strategy: Support the development and implementation of commodity strategies, consolidating commodity needs and inputs.
- Supplier Panel Management: Manage specific supplier panel relationships, negotiating agreements, and monitoring performance.
- Contract Variations and Claims: Manage all contract variations and claims with suppliers, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Requirements:
- Strong Experience: Proven experience in defining indirect procurement strategies and supporting make-or-buy decisions.
- Negotiation and Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated experience leading negotiations and engaging stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in Estimator, Costing Officer, or Sourcing Specialist roles within Residential Building, Commercial building, or other Construction industries.
- Cost Structures and Activities: Knowledge of cost structures, costing activities during pre-tendering phases, target prices, and gap analysis.
