At Lochard Energy, we're committed to fostering a proactive and practical safety culture. As our HSE Lead, you'll be instrumental in driving this culture at our Iona Gas Plant located in Port Campbell. You'll work closely with operations and leadership teams to ensure our Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) systems are not only compliant but effective, practical, and easy to follow. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires agility, confidence, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety & Environment or related field.
Significant HSE experience in Oil & Gas or Major Hazard Facilities.
Proficient in gas testing (Inert / BTEX / Ammonia).
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Experience with HSE reporting and management systems.
Job Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
- Be the on-site HSE expert, advising leaders, supporting safety projects, and driving safety culture.
- Coach frontline teams, oversee contractors, and manage daily safety issues in the field
- Coordinateincident investigations, hazard reporting, and compliance activities.
- Assist with Occupational Hygiene activities, such as gas testing and noise monitoring
- Maintain and improve HSE and Contractor Management systems (Chemalert, MAXIMO, MYOSH Viking) and documentation.
- Run toolbox talks, emergency drills, and HSE forums.
- Track performance, report KPIs, and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the wider HSE team to deliver site-wide programs and keep training up to date.
